In alignment with China's "Dual Carbon" strategy and to accelerate corporate green transformation, Hefei Leecan Pharmaceutical recently completed the grid connection of its factory photovoltaic panels to the high-low voltage power distribution system. This initiative not only injects clean energy into production operations but also demonstrates the company's united spirit of overcoming challenges and sharing hardships, delivering a remarkable achievement in sustainable development.
Compared to traditional off-grid photovoltaic systems, the newly integrated grid-connected PV system demonstrates significant advantages. With a streamlined structure that eliminates the need for battery storage, it reduces overall construction costs by 35%-45%, effectively saving investments in energy storage equipment and subsequent maintenance expenses. Utilizing solar power generation, the system achieves zero greenhouse gas emissions and pollutant discharge throughout its operation, fully aligning with China's "dual carbon" strategy and green development requirements. During peak power generation periods, the system can feed excess electricity back into the grid to optimize resource utilization and prevent solar curtailment. During peak electricity demand, it also serves as a localized load-shedding solution, providing robust support for regional power grids.
The construction project encountered multiple challenges, including temporary power outages in high-and low-voltage power grids, which directly impacted the stable operation of public systems, the ongoing stability studies of pharmaceutical samples in laboratory facilities, and precise temperature/humidity control in storage areas. Any power interruption could lead to unpredictable consequences. In response, the Hefei plant implemented meticulous planning and rapid action. For critical equipment requiring uninterrupted power supply, temporary power boxes were activated three days in advance, and emergency power sources were leased. On the day of grid restoration, laboratory stability incubators completed battery replacements within one minute to ensure uninterrupted experimental data collection. Following power recovery, microbial disinfection and sterilization of water systems were promptly conducted, followed by immediate equipment power-off inspections and functional tests after restoration to guarantee stable and reliable equipment operation.
From preliminary preparations to on-site construction, all departments demonstrated clear responsibilities and close collaboration during this photovoltaic grid integration project. With a strong sense of responsibility and professional expertise, they efficiently completed the tasks, showcasing the united spirit of Leecan employees who share both hardships and joys. This initiative has laid a solid foundation for the company's green and low-carbon transformation and high-quality development.
